HIM, Screamworks
This is the advert poster for the HIM album 'Screamworks'. This is a more typical styled image for a rock band as it has the front-man in the centre of the image. This is common as in most videos and images the focus tends to be on the singers and front-men. Also the image uses more darker dull colours in the background and at the side. Also by colouring the singer in black and white it creates a contrast with the background that makes the singer standout a bit more. This adds more focus to the image of the singer. This is also comon as there are rarely advertisements for rock bands which contain brighter more vibrant colours. That seems to be a more common trait of pop or indie rock music.
The advert promotes the band quite well as in the top left hand corner of the screen there is the band logo. This is a common trait of the band and is displayed in all of their albums and most of their videos so this would make it easier for their audience to identify their work.
